Wireless Subscriber Growth In Canada Will Rocket, Says Yankee Group

According to a new report from the Yankee Group, wireless subscriber numbers will exceed 18.5 million in Canada by 2006. Although voice revenues will only increase from C$6.4 billion in 2002 to C$8.8 billion in 2006, data revenues will grow rapidly from C$45 million to almost C$1.3 billion in the same period.

The Yankee Group predicts that by 2006, 45 million residential and business customers in the US will have subscribed to cable modem and DSL services, whilst Canada will account for 6 million subscribers.

These were the findings of the Yankee Group’s North American Global Forecasts report.
