Revenues from mobile gaming are predicted to top â‚Ź500 million in Western Europe this year with the UK contributing â‚Ź75 million to this total.
Strand Consult, which published the report, estimates that the Western European market will be worth â‚Ź4 billion in 2005 with the UK’s share set to rise to â‚Ź520 million.
The research follows the launch of Nokia’s N-Gage, a handheld games platform designed to compete with the Ninetendo Gameboy.
