US internet video ad spending will grow by 82.2% this year, and 89.0% in 2007, according to a new report from eMarketer.
EMarketer adds that although internet video ad spending represents only 0.6% of TV ad budgets this year, large spending gains for internet video advertising are just over the horizon.
By 2010, adds the online research company, one in ten dollars devoted to internet advertising will go for video placements.

In another recent report, eMarketer forecast that worldwide social network ad spending will be $1.1 billion in 2007, up from $445 million in 2006 (see Social Network Adspend To Reach $2.8 Billion).
Meanwhile, in August In-Stat said that the online video market will grow tenfold by 2010, reaching more than 131 million households (see Online Video Market To Grow Tenfold By 2010).
