US Online AdSpend Per User To Increase

A new report from eMarketer has been published which examines the trends which will continue to drive the growth of US internet ad spending for the next several years.

The report says that, at first glance, it appears that internet ad spending has kept pace with the online audience, as advertisers last year spent an average of $71.51 per user.

EMarketer projects that this will increase to $88.28 this year and will inch close to the $100 per user mark in 2008.

However, the high growth rate for average ad spending per user fails to match up with the impressive growth rate for overall internet ad spending, says the online analyst.
