Virgin Media and Sky have both launched ‘reasons to switch’ direct response campaigns.
The two media companies have gone head to head in a bid to win over subscribers from their rivals with press and direct mail campaigns.
Sky has stepped up its rivalry with a new tag-line – “11 reasons to say hello to Sky (goodbye to Virgin Media)”.
Rupert Murdoch’s company claims consumers can save up to £200 a year on monthly subscriptions by switching to Sky.
However, Virgin Media’s “Reasons to be with Virgin Media? Take your pick” campaign claims that Sky’s HD channels and call-out charges cost more than Virgin’s services.
