BSkyB has announced plans to publish its Sky Sports magazine in-house, which will bring an end to its relationship with Haymarket.

Haymarket Network, which is part of the Haymarket Media Group, launched the monthly title in January 2007.

The changes will see four staff who worked on the title move to BSkyB, while the remaining three will be transferred to another part of the Haymarket Group.

A BSkyB spokesperson said the company made the decision following “a review of how best to resource the magazine in the longer term, in light of an expanding in-house editorial and production capability”.

Andrew Taplin, managing director of Haymarket Network, added: “Haymarket is very proud of its close working relationship with Sky in the creation and development of Sky Sports magazine over the past three years.”

Sky Sports magazine is sent out to over four million Sky Sports subscribers.
