BSkyB is set to rebrand its consumer magazine Skymag and increase its frequency to 12 issues per year.

Skymag will be renamed Sky Magazine in December, which will be the first issue of the new-look magazine.

Other changes to the title, which is sent out to 7.5 million subscribers, include new content, a revamped layout and design and an additional 20 pages.

Sky Magazine will now focus its editorial on five key areas – TV Insider, TV People, TV Special, Updated TV Planner and We Love, which is set to include contributions from Ross Kemp and Jamie Redknapp.

The title, which is now published in-house after its former publisher News Magazines closed down, will be relaunched in a smaller format.

BSkyB has also announced plans to bring Sky Sports magazine in-house, which will bring an end to its relationship with Haymarket.
