TV Overnights: 9m watch George leave the jungle

Last night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! drew a peak audience of 9 million viewers – a 35.5% share.

The show, which saw George Hamilton walk out of the jungle to spend some quality time with himself, had an average of 8.7 million viewers during its hour and a half running time, from 8.30pm.

Over on BBC One at 9pm, natural history documentary Life picked up a peak of 4.1 million viewers – a 16.5% share.

The latest dramatisation of defining moments in the life of The Queen, on Channel 4 at the same time, could only grab a peak of 2 million viewers – an 8.3% share.

Meanwhile, a peak of 3 million viewers tuned into the surprisingly amusing studio-based comedy Miranda, on BBC Two for half an hour at 8.30pm.
