YouTube launches offline advertising campaign to promote TV content

YouTube has launched an offline advertising campaign in the UK to promote the professional TV content on the site.

Ads featuring the strapline ‘YouTube’s got TV’ will run on bus sides, tube panels, in the press and on online video pre-rolls and display ads.

The campaign follows the launch of a TV shows section on the site featuring full-length TV programmes and clips from Channel 4, BBC Worldwide and ITN.

Programmes include shows such as Peep Show, Hollyoaks, Derren Brown and the Inbetweeners.

In October, YouTube signed a content deal with Channel 4, which will see a full range of C4 programming become available on the site by 2010.
