The National Readership Survey has appointed a new head of client services and a new account manager.

Craig Houston joins as head of client services from from digital specialist TalentNation, where he was business development director. He will work alongside chief executive Mike Ironside to continue building stronger relationships with the NRS client base and stakeholders.

New account manager Julie Gannon was previously research project manager at the Periodical Publishers Association. As NRS account manager, she will work closely with the three stakeholder groups of the NRS – the IPA, NPA and PPA.

Houston said: “My ultimate aim is to re-engage and develop stronger relationships with our clients. By providing user-friendly creative insight with the data, I hope to increase our client’s interaction and engagement with the survey.

“Through implementing a focused strategic communications programme, I will endeavour to re-establish all users’ confidence in the NRS survey, by not only educating them, but also keeping them fully updated with any innovative developments. I hope this approach will re-establish the NRS as an invaluable resource tool for media planning and trading negotiations.”
