New media sales venture Mean Broadcast launches

A new media sales business, Mean Broadcast, has been set up by John de Napoli and Damon Letzer, formerly of Enteraction TV and Turner Networks.

The business will act as commercial partners for selected media owners and content creators, devising strategies, providing forecasts and delivery of revenues, according to a statement from the new company.

It will cover broadcast and event sponsorship, event branding and experiential, celebrity endorsement, naming rights, advertiser funded programming and branded content, with distribution secured on broadcast platforms, online, mobile and gaming consoles.

The company has signed up four clients so far: Matchroom Sport (selling all its sports events broadcast on Sky TV and ITV); Square I Media, who provide the Vidzone music channel on Playstations consoles; Marvel Comics – Hero Factor, which involves character use in bespoke comics and events; and Simply Media, which provides a branded online content creation and distribution for blue chip clients such as major banks, Boots and Mccaffee.

De Napoli said: “There are many exciting new media propositions in the marketplace and MB brings together a selected combination of vehicles for brands to really engage with audiences.

“We are working closely and partnering with agencies and brands in order to facilitate and support an integrated strategy, with innovative solutions that in the current market are proving hard for them to find time to execute.

“We act as their commercial directors, identifying new opportunities and then delivering the results. Similarly with content providers, we can find them the right distribution channels and generate revenues for both parties. The partners and staff will be involved with our clients’ businesses on a daily basis.”
