Target Media creates new role in a bid to bolster its digital offering

Mary Bond

Target Media has appointed Mary Bond to the newly created role of head of digital.

Bond’s promotion from account manager comes as Target looks to expand its digital offering in response to new digital advertising opportunities.

The company predicts that its digital activity for clients will grow by more than 15% this year alone.

Bond will be responsible for leading and positioning Target Digital, as well as heading up a team of 5 people at the agency.  Bond will also be expected to turn the digital department into a stand alone P&L centre without losing the integrated solutions it will offer within the agency.

Prior to joining Target, Bond worked as UK marketing manager for Sony Computer Entertainment, where she was responsible for the UK PlayStation brand activity.

“I am thrilled to be asked to head up Target’s digital activity at such an exciting time for the company,” Bond said.  “We have always been market leading in digital, producing many media 1sts in the entertainment sector, and whilst I intend to maintain this quality of delivery, I will also be looking to expand our expertise into relevant youth and lifestyle sectors.”
