Online advertising may finally “be entering a golden age”, according to new figures from Morgan Stanley analyst Mary Meeker.

The Internet Trends report reveals that while 28% of media time is spent online, just 13% of ad budgets are spent on the medium.

And online average cost per thousand impressions are still well below other media, leaving a lot of room for growth.

Meeker also points out that the recently launched iPad is one of the fastest growing new consumer computing devices ever, taking just 28 days to hit 1 million users.
