TV marketing body Thinkbox is returning to TV screens later this year with a new ad campaign reminding advertisers of the power of TV.

The TV ad is being created by The Red Brick Road and directed by award-winning director Andy McLeod of Rattling Stick, who has been responsible for ads including Department for Transport’s ‘Live With it’and Robinsons’ ‘Bird House’. The media planning is by MediaCom.

The new ad will be screened across a variety of broadcast and on-demand TV channels represented by Thinkbox’s shareholders and their partner channels. Thinkbox’s shareholders are Channel 4, Five, GMTV, ITV, Sky Media and Turner Media Innovations.

Lindsey Clay, Thinkbox’s marketing director, said: “We have so much evidence proving how effective TV advertising is, but there’s nothing quite like seeing it work for yourself – as we did last year – to convince you to have more.”

Barbara Waite, business director at The Red Brick Road, said: “It’s a testament to the impact of the first ad that Thinkbox will be back on screens to remind people of the power of TV advertising.

“Our last ad focused on TV advertising’s long-term ability to live on in people’s memory; this time round we’re planning to focus on another of TV advertising’s many strengths and we are very pleased to have Andy McLeod on board to help us deliver this.”
