Over 177 million US internet users watched video content in June – slightly down from the 183 million watching in May.
Google Sites – driven mainly by Youtube.com – was the top video content property, with 144.5 million unique viewers.
It also had the highest number of viewing sessions, with 1.8 billion. The average time spent per viewer was 261 minutes (4.3 hours), again the highest.
This was followed by Yahoo! Sites with 44.9 million viewers, and Vevo with 43.7 million viewers.
However, Yahoo! Sites scored relatively low in terms of minutes per viewer, with only 16.8. Vevo fared better with 66.7 minutes per viewer.
Although Hulu came tenth with 24 million unique viewers, it had the second highest viewer engagement, with an average of 135 minutes (2.2 hours) per viewer.
