Peter Rogers, chief executive of the ITC, has announced four key appointments and a reorganisation of the television watchdog.
Clare Mulholland, director of programmes, has been named as the new deputy chief executive. Her new duties, which include a range of regulatory, managerial and external representational roles, will begin on 1 July.
Sara Thane, currently director of public affairs, takes over from Clare Mulholland; Robin Duval becomes deputy director of programmes and Anthony Hewitt, deputy secretary of the ITC, will become deputy director of the cable division.
Under the new plans for restructuring, which will take place in September, the cable and satellite division and the programme division will merge to become the programmes and cable division. The audience research department, under the head of research Bob Towler, will move later this year from programmes division to public affairs.
