Music magazines is among one of the worst hit sectors in the latest ABC release. Just two titles are able to boast a slight increase in circulation, while most titles suffered hefty losses.
The Fly, which tops the chart, saw a small 0.4% year on year rise to 108,000 copies. Meanwhile, Bauer’s Kerrang! posted a higher 1.8% increase and Future’s Classic Rock remained static over the year.
IPC’s NME magazine witnessed the biggest percentage loss, down by 17.3%, while Bauer’s Q recorded a significant 10.7% year on year fall.
Once again, this is thought to be a result of readers moving away from print formats in favour of looking on the web for music news and reviews.
