ABC lines up new chairman

The board of ABC has announced the appointment of Derek Morris as its new chairman.

Morris will take up the position of Chairman after the next ABC board meeting on 7 December 2016. He will replace Sally Cartwright OBE who has chaired the board since 2010 and reaches the end of her allotted term of office.

Morris’ role as Chairman will be alongside his role at Publicis Media where he leads business transformation with clients and agencies across the EMEA region.

Commenting on the appointment, Cartwright said: “Derek is ideally placed to ensure ABC continues to deliver the stamp of trust for media brand measurement in a rapidly changing media landscape.

“The combination of his knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the ABC board and management team going forward.”

Morris said: “Sally has done an excellent job of evolving ABC for the print and digital media industry as new challenges have emerged.

“As the chairman designate I would like to thank her for that work and look forward to ensuring ABC continues to provide independent media brand measurement standards that both media owners and advertisers trust.”
