Alexandra White To Leave AOP

UK Association Of Online Publishers Logo The director of the UK Association of Online Publishers, Alexandra White, is to leave the company after five years.

White, who joined the association in 2002, is leaving to do voluntary work in the Waterberg region of South Africa.

The AOP is an industry body representing the interests of approximately 160 online publishing companies.

White said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at AOP, it’s been an absolute privilege to work with some of the most innovative companies in the media today.

“The world of online publishing is not one I can imagine being away from for too long, but for now I’m looking forward to a new challenge in South Africa.”

The latest membership survey from the AOP revealed that digital publishers in the UK experienced a 60% increase in turnover on average in 2006, and are predicting an average of 72% growth for 2007 (see Digital Publishing Growth Exceeds Forecasts)
