Apple has regained its position as the number one smartphone vendor – ahead of Samsung and Nokia, according to Strategy Analytics.
The technology company raced ahead of Samsung in Q4 2011 following the launch of the iPhone 4S, however, Samsung was the overall market leader in 2011 with a 20% market share.
In Q4, 155 million smartphones were shipped – compared with 100.7 million in Q4 2010. Overall, 488.5 million devices were shipped in 2011, compared with 299.5 million in 2010.
