Asda’s in-store magazine has rebranded to Good Living, as it looks to become a “multi-platform content hub” spanning print, online, mobile, social media and events.
The changes come six months after the account was taken over by publisher Hearst and will see the free monthly mag served to 2.1 million customers in January.
Changes have also been made to Good Living’s editorial team.
In addition to the appointment of Ally Oliver as editor, announced this month, Fabulous magazine’s Hannah Barr will join as commissioning editor, while Heledd Williams will take on the role of chief sub editor and Kate Matharu will head up digital.
“Good Living has its own look and feel that is linked to the Asda brand but which has a strong tone and design ethos of its own. The tone of voice is fun, relaxed, informed, positive and conversational,” said Judith Secombe, group publishing director, Hearst Made.
“By enhancing our editorial team and creating an exciting freemium proposition packed with information, ideas and entertainment, we hope customers will actively seek out the magazine each month.”
