The growth of viewing via mobile phones and online within the UK has continued to grow, according to a new survey released by BARB.

The omnibus survey carried out by Ipsos MORI Capibus, showed that young adults and ABC1s were the groups most likely to view TV programmes through laptops and PCs.

During the period covering November 2010, the number of adults saying that they are viewing TV programmes this way stood at 34% (up from 27% in the previous year). 46% of 15-34 year olds stated that they had ever watched via this format.

Looking at viewing via mobile phone devices there was also an increase in year on year figures. The omnibus survey found that 5% of adults now claimed to have watched TV programmes via a mobile phone (compared to 3.1% for November 2009).
