Big Brother: Big Viewing Figures

Big Brother beat down the opposition once again with an amazing 4.3 million adult viewers watching last night’s show, possibly because they had heard that Dawn, following rule breaking, was in for a severe reprimand.

Big Brother’s 21.1% share of viewers reflects the massive buzz the show is creating at the moment, with suicidal Shahbaz leaving for his own safety and footage of Dawn being thrown out on this evening’s programme before the live eviction.

ITV1 had yesterday’s second best ratings in the same 9pm time slot, with 2.9 million adult viewers for its six-part medical drama Vital Signs, a 14.5% share of viewers.

However, the delightful Tamzin Outhwaite could not compete with the riveting sight of Dawn, perhaps having read too many Dan Brown novels, telling the other housemates that she had a code.

After such a hectic week, we can only wait with baited breath to see how tonight’s 10pm eviction shapes up, especially as it’s going head to head with ITV1’s dynamic cocktail of football and celebrity, Soccer Aid.
