Crypto specialist Bitwise Asset Management is launching a national advertising campaign to educate viewers about the Ethereum blockchain. The campaign, featuring a series of video ads, takes a unique approach by minting the TV spot itself as a non-fungible token (NFT) on the Ethereum network.
The ads, set to air on major business news networks and other paid channels, aim to showcase the versatility of Ethereum compared to traditional finance and tech platforms. Bitwise hopes to not only raise brand awareness but also to highlight the potential of Ethereum to disrupt the status quo. “Ethereum is the world’s most versatile blockchain,” said in a statement Victoria Kulbanska Anderson, Bitwise’s Head of Growth Marketing. “With this campaign, we wanted to bring that versatility to life in a memorable way. This campaign marks a first for the industry. By minting the ad as an NFT on Zora, a popular Ethereum-based NFT platform, Bitwise is allowing viewers to own a piece of the campaign itself. Proceeds from the minting process will be split between Ethereum developers and the actors featured in the ad. This approach shows the transparent and direct compensation capabilities inherent to the Ethereum blockchain.
Bitwise partnered with Los Angeles-based creative agency Studio City PXL and production company Revolver Films to bring the campaign to life. This team, who also collaborated on Bitwise’s successful “Bitcoin Is Interesting” campaign, brings a blend of creativity and experience to the project.
