Bollore Could Call Third Aegis EGM

Vincent Bollore could be about to call for another extraordinary general meeting of Aegis shareholders as he attempts to finally have his candidates placed on the board.

If it goes ahead, this will be the third EGM Bollore has called. Currently with a 29.1% share in Aegis, Bollore’s attempts to have his candidates, Philippe Germond and Roger Hatchuel, placed on the board have so far met with failure.

At the second EGM, in November, 94.2% of the votes not controlled by Groupe Bollore were cast against appointing Germond and Hatchuel to the board (see Bollore Fails Again In Aegis Board Bid).

The directors of Aegis have been fiercely opposed to Bollore’s efforts, saying that as Bollore is also chairman of Havas there would be a serious conflict of interest.
