The Times slashes 100 jobs

News International is thought to be announcing another round of job cuts.

100 editorial staff will be dropped from The Times, mostly casual staff (one in seven workers). There will be no compulsory redundancies, only requests for voluntary redundancy.

The Sunday Times, meanwhile, will see 20 staff go and a 30% reduction in casual workers.
