Revenue from the interactive entertainment market is forecast to generate $41.4 million worldwide by 2009, according to a new report from US market research firm, DFC Intelligence.
On-line, video, portable and traditional PC games are expected to drive this market forward over the next five years, as combined sales are predicted to reach £41.4 billion.
The launch of new portable gaming consoles from Nintendo and Sony are expected to generate even further revenue for the market, as portable sales grow from £3.9 billion in 2003 to £11.1 billion in 2007, according to DFC Intelligence.
