Broadband Means More Than Just Speed, Says Yankee Group
In its Technologically Advanced Family Survey, completed recently, the Yankee Group discovered that one of the key benefits of broadband as cited by respondents was the ability to keep the household phone free whilst family members surfed the net.

“The functional benefits of high-speed Internet access, such as speed and convenience, remain the compelling factors driving users to subscribe to high-speed access services,” said Steve Vonder Haar of the Yankee Group. “However, over the long run broadband must find ways to offer consumers unique and compelling applications and services in order to reach a mass audience.”
