Can’t Connect, Won’t Connect?

Even in countries such as the United States, Canada, Sweden, and the Netherlands, about a third of people who could use the Internet choose not to. According to Ipsos-Reid, only 6% of the world’s population of 6 billion are connected to the internet.

Ipsos questioned non-users in 30 countries who gave the following reasons for not connecting:
Have no need for the internet 40%
Have no computer 33%
Have no interest in the internet 25%
Don’t know how to use it 16%
Cost 12%
Have no time 10%
