Channel 4 Relaunches Trade Website For Advertisers

Channel 4 will this week relaunch its trade marketing website, the in4mer, with a promotional campaign targeting media agencies and advertisers.

The new-look extranet will feature upcoming programme information, the latest research and audience data, as well as a range of sponsorship and advertising information.

Channel 4 has recruited Bo Selecta star, Avid Merion, to feature on over 3,000 CD-ROMs that will be sent to media agencies and advertisers promoting the redesigned website. An extensive advertising campaign will also run in the trade press to coincide with the relaunch.

Commenting on the initiative, Hugh Johnson, head of commercial marketing and research at Channel 4, said: “There’s an abundance of valuable information on the in4mer, it’s a real asset to agencies and advertisers giving them instantaneous access to advanced programme notes and research findings in a clean and clutter free environment.”

The redevelopment of the in4mer.com comes just weeks after Channel 4 revealed that profits more than tripled last year after an effort to reduce costs at the broadcaster showed the first signs of success (see Outlook Improves For Channel 4 As Profits Triple).
