Channel 5 Coverage

The ITC has increased the number of transmission stations which will broad- cast the Channel 5 service, effectively boosting the number of homes which will be able to receive the channel.

The number of sites carrying the service has been increased from 25 to 31, which in turn will expand the station’s coverage from 71% to 73% of the population.

The ITC intends to advertise the Channel 5 licence in January 1992, with a closing date for applications three months later.
