Chime Communications Sees Positive First Half

UK advertising and PR group, Chime Communications, this morning said it is positive about the outcome for the first half of the year, despite less ‘buoyant’ market conditions.

Lord Bell, chairman of Chime Communications, told the company’s AGM that pressure to reduce costs has been increased and that the group’s services have been widened internationally.

Due to the weak market, advertising agency HHCL (which represents 21% of Chime’s business) is experiencing client budget delays and some cuts.

Chimes says that so far this year it has won contracts with MFI, Sony, Siemens, UK Online, De Beers, New Look, Abbey National, Friends Provident, Pubmaster and the Beijing ‘bid for the Olympics’. It also said that its PR businesses are growing ahead of expectations and that marketing services is in line with budget.
