Classic FM has published research which looks at listening and buying habits of its key audience – the ‘housewife’.

The research booklet claims that Classic FM reaches 4,060,000 housewives 16% of the housewife population. The booklet presents key findings through the Audits of Great Britain (AGB) Superpanel. Purchasing habits were measured using a bar code scanner which was placed in 8000 homes across the country. A media diary, ‘Mediaspan’, was placed with the shopping panel in March 1995. This allowed comparisons to be made between the Classic FM house wife and the ‘average’ housewife.
