Connect TV beats Freeview in number of channels available

Connect TV claims that its service now provides more channels to domestic viewers than Freeview, and is on target to doubling the number of channels available through Connect TV by the end of the year.

The service enables content owners to have their own live TV channel, with its own channel number on the Freeview EPG, which viewers can access in the same way on every television, simply by pressing the channel number, or selecting the channel from the programme guide.

Connect TV was launched in February 2012 with an initial 45 different channels available through an internet connection. 70 channels are currently available on the platform.

Connect TV is eager to state that there is still plenty of room for more channels.
