The entertainment, media and technology market research firm, Interpret LLC, has released a new report,”The State of Internet-Connected Living Rooms”, where it states that connected devices in the digital home are underutilised.
The Internet-Connected Living Rooms report claims that over 50% of US consumers have internet-connected devices in their living room but that they are not being under-used for TV and movie entertainment.
It claims that 22% of those with a gaming console connected to the internet have used it to stream a movie or TV show, while for owners of Apple TV or Roku set-top boxes, this number is even lower at 18%.
