Craig Tuck joins The Ozone Project as managing director

The Ozone Project, a joint digital ad sales house for publishers, has today announced the appointment of Craig Tuck as managing director for its commercial division, Ozone Audience.

In a display of unity, the largest news publishers in the UK announced the launch of the project in June as they seek to offer better scale, a cleaner supply chain and easier buying options for advertisers.

With News UK, Guardian News & Media, The Telegraph and Reach plc onboard as founding partners, The Ozone Project is set to launch in the coming months.

Tuck joins from his position as managing director at Radium One, prior to which he held roles at Fox Interactive Media, Lycos and Carlton Screen Advertising. In his new role, he will drive sales from quality agencies and brands on the platform.

“With the platform underpinned by owned data coupled with the support of four of the largest newsbrands, we have genuine connections with over 42.5 million British consumers,” Tuck said.

“This makes us uniquely positioned to help brands effectively reach their consumers in a brand-safe, premium environment at scale. The Ozone Project is what the media industry needs and I’m excited to join the business at such a crucial time.”

Tuck will be reporting into Damon Reeve, CEO of The Ozone Project, who said he is “very excited” by the appointment.

“As we get closer to launch and open discussions with advertisers, agencies and brands, Craig is joining at a critical time to lead this effort in creating value and ROI for our advertising partners,” he added.

The Ozone Project has been developed in response to industry-wide concerns across the digital advertising ecosystem around brand safety, data governance, lack of transparency in the supply chain and ad fraud, as well as calls from advertisers for a single point of access to publisher inventory to facilitate an easy buy for scaled quality.
