Crimewatch Solved BBC One’s Crimewatch Solved 2008 special, a show looking at how the programme helped solve crimes such as the Nisha Patel Nasri murder, attracted more than 4 million viewers last night.

The one-off programme gained a 19% average audience share between 9pm and 10pm.

Channel 4’s Big Brother came second to BBC One with a 14% audience share, picking up three million peak viewers at the same time.

Meanwhile, Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation on ITV1 only pulled in 2.5 million viewers between 9pm and 10pm, with an 11.8% audience share.

BBC Two’s House of Saddam attracted more than 2.3 million viewers and secured an 11% audience share, falling just below ITV1’s ratings.

Elsewhere, the last in the series of Location, Location, Location on Channel 4 picked up more than two million viewers between 8pm and 9pm.

BBC One’s Lost Land of the Jaguar, set in the Guyanan jungle, attracted 4.8 million viewers at 8pm, while ITV1 peaked with The Bill, which pulled in more than 5 million viewers at the same time.
