The Daily Telegraph is set to unveil its new Saturday Review section this weekend.
The new magazine format will be edited by the former arts editor of Review, Tom Horan, who will report to the Telegraph Media Group’s executive editor Mark Skipworth.
The revamped section will feature a ‘What’s on’ guide, which focuses on art, music, books, film and theatre, with a seven-day television and radio listings guide.
However, film will make up a large part of the magazine, with reviews of current cinema releases, as well as DVDs and a guide to films on TV.
There will also be a critic’s choice of national and regional theatre performances, music events and book reviews.
Skipworth said the revamp in just one of the things the newspaper is doing to deliver quality during the economic downturn.
In the latest NRS report, the Daily Telegraph suffered a substantial 10.5% year on year loss, taking its total readership down to 1.84 million.
