Dennis Launches Customer Publishing Arm

Dennis Logo Dennis Publishing has launched a customer publishing arm, Dennis Communications.

Headed up by Tim Farthing as commercial director, Dennis Communications will focus on producing and delivering print and digital customer magazines.

James Tye, CEO at Dennis Publishing, said: “Dennis Communications will take customer publishing into the 21st Century. Launching Dennis Communications is yet another way Dennis Publishing is capitalising on its strengths in digital media, by applying our experience to a different, fast growing sector.

“With embedded video, full interactivity for readers and complete accountability for the client, Dennis Communication’s digital customer magazines offer clients a new, far greener product to sit alongside their traditional direct mail or printed customer magazines.”

Farthing was previously group ad sales manager for Maxim and the Gambling division within the commercial team of Dennis Publishing.

Derek Harbinson will take the role of editorial director of Dennis Communications. Previously Derek was editor of Maxim magazine until August 2007.

Monkey, Dennis’ digital only magazine, recently posted an ABCe figure of almost 272,000, up by more than 29.5% year on year (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2007:Shortlist Falls Just Short Of Circulation Target).

Monkey, which launched in November 2006 (see Dennis Launches New Online Lads Mag), will be joined by another digital only mag from Dennis next month (see Dennis Launches Second Digital Only Magazine).

Gizmo will be a consumer technology digital magazine, distributed as an email free of change.
