Digital consumer infographic: 15-34s vs. 55+

Ahead of MediaTel’s annual Media Playground event tomorrow, Kantar Media has prepared an infographic which reveals the differences in media habits between the young…and the not so young.

Consumers are becoming increasingly connected and this year’s Playground event is set to highlight that with a number of sessions focusing on the digital consumer – from device ownership to our meshing, stacking and shifting habits.

According to the research, 82% of 15-34s own a smartphone in 2014, compared with just 27% of over 55s. However, the disparity is much less significant when it comes to tablets, with 29% of 16-34s currently owning a tablet compared with 15% of the older generation.

The findings, taken from the TGI study, also reveal how each generation use the internet, how they engage with media and their media habits.
