Independent analytics consultancy firm Ebiquity has announced that Alan Rutherford will take on the role of global chairman of its media practice.
Rutherford previously spent 14 years at Ogilvy/WPP, where he was in charge of clients including IBM, Guinness, Kodak and Sony PlayStation. He also worked at Unilever where he served as global head of media services, and spent four years at Digitas as global CEO.
In his new role, Rutherford will work closely with group CEO Michael Karg to transform the company’s client offering, deepen relationships with agency networks, represent Ebiquity at high profile industry events, and drive collaboration with industry bodies.
“It is a real pleasure to bring Alan into the broader Ebiquity family,” said Karg.
“Having someone with his level of experience on both the agency and client sides, and internationally across Europe, the US and China, will ensure that we continue to leverage our services in Consulting, Performance, Compliance, and Analytics to optimise our clients’ investments in marketing and media on a global scale. I am delighted that he has joined our leadership team.”
Rutherford added: “I have been very impressed with Ebiquity’s unrivalled mix of talent and capabilities, and I’m looking forward to partnering with Ebiquity’s global teams in helping advertisers meet their strategic and tactical media objectives.”
