Emap Restructures Radio Ad Division

Emap Advertising Logo Emap Advertising has announced a major re-organisation of its internal Radio Agency Sales Team, focusing on two main areas of radio sales and strategic accounts.

The radio firm claims the restructure will deliver a “more efficient and customer-focused” service to its agency clients, as well as increasing the company’s overall radio advertising share.

Under the new structure, Emap’s radio sales team will take responsibility for the company’s agency client portfolio, working with the strategic account team, which will focus on new, infrequent and lapsed advertisers, with a remit to promote the medium to an untapped audience.

The company claims its new structure will provide a more targeted customer-service effort, with the radio sales team totally focused on servicing agencies’ accounts on a day to day basis. Meanwhile, the strategic account team will concentrate on delivering the latest consumer and radio research findings, as well as ideas from the Emap Insight team.

Commenting on the restructure, Karen Stacey, Emap Advertising’s broadcast sales director, said: “The re-structure is part of Emap Advertising’s drive to be ever-more customer-focused and accountable. The new teams will have clear objectives to meet and targets to achieve. These are exciting times and Emap Advertising believes it has put in place the right structure to meet the challenges of the evolving radio market.”
