The Evening Standard has rebranded Thisislondon.co.uk to Standard.co.uk, providing access to the Standard’s London news, business, sport, comment and analysis.
Standard.co.uk will carry a mix of unique content updated throughout the day and content that appears in the newspaper.
Andrew Mullins, managing director of the Evening Standard, said that “if we have a breaking news story we want it to be on the web”.
He added that the change will enhance clarity and create a “genuine multi-platform consumer and commercial offering”.
Thisislondon.co.uk, which will remain the Standard’s entertainment guide, will now become a channel of standard.co.uk.
Associated Newspapers’ digital division will continue to handle the site’s advertising sales and cross-platform deals will be brokered by the Evening Standard‘s display advertising sales team.
