Future’s ex-director of advertising, James Ranson, has joined native advertising company Vibrant Media as commercial director covering both UK and international markets.
Ranson is credited with reshaping Future plc’s sales operation and delivering cross-platform digital campaigns for clients including O2, Samsung and Carphone Warehouse.
After joining Future as advertising sales director for T3 in 2009 after working on technology and auto brands at Haymarket and Incisive Media, Ranson became responsible for ad sales of Future’s entire technology group.
Four years later he was promoted again to advertising sales director where he restructured Future’s business units in Bath and London to create a central agency team.
“James brings an impressive track record in delivering large-scale content marketing campaigns to brands,” said founder and executive chairman of Vibrant Media, Craig Gooding.
“This will be a core focus for him following the launch of the Vibrant Amplify range of cross-platform content marketing units. His innovative management of sales teams will bring some changes to how Vibrant Media operates.
“In particular, his international remit will task him with consolidating our positions and exploring new opportunities in international markets.”
