Facebook is set to launch a new media platform this week to enable users to share music, TV shows and films.
According to The New York Times, Facebook will unveil the entertainment hub at its F8 conference on Thursday.
The social network has reportedly partnered with Spotify, MOG, Rhapsody, Soundcloud and VEVO among others for the service, which is expected to be called Facebook Music. Hulu and Netflix are also thought to be interested in joining the line-up.
Users’ profile pages will be able display entertainment they are consuming on external services, such as Spotify.
