Fergie fails to impress

ITV Logo ITV1’s special Duchess and Daughters only managed to secure 2.3 million average viewers between 9pm and 10pm last night.

The ITV ‘tonight special’, which saw Sarah Ferguson and her daughters visit Romania and Turkey to expose conditions inside orphanages, picked up 2.6 million peak viewers and a 10.3% audience share.

At the same time, Channel 4’s royal programme The Prince Charles Generation also failed to attract viewers, pulling in just 1.6 million average viewers with a 7.2% audience share.

Meanwhile, BBC triumphed, with BBC One’s Silent Witness attracting over 6.5 million peak viewers and a 26.7% audience share, while BBC Two’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks banked over 2.3 million viewers at 9pm.

BBC One’s Eastenders also saw the highest figures for the evening, with over 6.8 million peak viewers and a 29.5% audience share between 7.30pm and 8pm.
