BBC One’s new Holby City spin-off, police drama Holby Blue, debuted with an average adult audience of five million, giving the channel a 23.8% viewing share between 8pm and 9pm.
Following on from the action packed escapades of the police force in the fictional borough of Holby, popular presenter Jamie Theakston lent his hand to narrating the first of a two-part documentary on the history of CCTV.
CCTV: You Are Being Watched lured over four million adult viewers on average, equating to a share of around 18%. Meanwhile, Midsomer Murders, which ran from 8pm to 10pm on ITV1, was watched on average by almost 6.4 million, a 29.5% share.
Gok Wan’s efforts at making the nation body beautiful and boosting the confidence of those who don’t know How To Look Good Naked once again proved popular for Channel 4, attracting almost 2.6 million adults between 8pm and 9pm.
Gordon Ramsay’s culinary f-ing and blinding in the F-Word followed, gaining an audience of over 2.9 million on average, a 13% share. Meanwhile, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation drew more than 2.2 million to Five, giving the channel a 10% audience share at the time.
