Fun Radio rebranded Fun Kids

A Digital Radio Folder Media’s digital radio station Fun Radio has been rebranded Fun Kids and given a new schedule.

The children’s station, previously owned by GCap Media, has relaunched its weekday morning preschool brand Giggle with a new character, Millie the Moosical Cow, who introduces stories and music and encourages young listeners to join in at home.

Radio consultancy Folder Media bought the three-year-old station in 2008 and introduced the changes at the start of last week. A new website has also been launched to accompany the rebranded station.

Matt Deegan, creative director at Folder Media, said: “Since acquiring the station in September we’ve been working hard to develop the station’s on-air and online content to make it even more enjoyable for our listeners.

“The change of name from Fun Radio to Fun Kids will also allow us to grow the station into a truly multi-platform brand.”
