Glamour magazine has produced eight different versions of its September edition, for eight different regions in the UK, due for release on Thursday 12 August.

This is in partnership with Converse, the shoe brand.

Glamour‘s eight chosen regions are Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Each edition of the magazine will have a 16-page section about the region that the edition is focusing on.

The cover star, pop singer Katy Perry, wears a different T-shirt on each front cover, with the name of that edition’s region written across it.

Glamour magazine are giving away these t-shirts, signed by the singer, along with a pair of Converse trainers, through Glamour.com. There is also a competition running that offers readers a chance to win a pair of Converse trainers every day for a month.

“I have to thank our partners in this, the wonderful people at Converse, without whom the project would never have happened. They even helped us track down some of the incredibly cool, incredibly talented rising stars from each area, that you can read about in your particular issue,” said Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour.

Elvin also encouraged readers to tweet suggestions for their local edition, “to make sure that each place’s ‘mini mag’ is crammed full of great tips to get to know where you live that little bit better”.
