Global revenue at CBS Outdoor has increased 5.1% in the second quarter, up to $456.3 million (£287 million) year-on-year.
European revenue increased by 5% (ignoring the effect of exchange rate changes), and UK growth increased significantly, up 14% year-on-year.
Adjusted global operating income at CBS Outdoor was $13.5 million in the three months to the end of June. By comparison, there was a loss of $22.3 million in the same period of 2009.
Adjusted operating income (before depreciation and amortization) for the three months to the end of June was $78.7 million. In the same period in 2009, it was $44.7 million – meaning there has been a 76% year-on-year increase.
Global revenue at CBS Corporation was $3.33 billion for the second quarter, up 10.8% from $3.01 billion in the same period of 2009.
Global earnings before income taxes were £248.6 million, from $75.4 million in the same period of 2009; meaning they have increased by 230% year-on-year.
